Canvas fights and rubs you the whole way. Softshell just goes with you.

Four times the flex. You stop noticing your trousers — which is the whole point of work trousers.

Canvas gets one tick. We'll give it that one.

Anyone who's done a summer in canvas knows the feeling. Sweating your arse off by ten in the morning and stuck like that till you get home.

Softshell is built to breathe. Heat gets out, you stay dry, you stop thinking about it.

Sounds like a small thing until you've done a full week in both.

The difference is mental.

Everyone assumes flexible means weak. It doesn't.

These take the same abuse as canvas. Brick, concrete, metal shavings, the lot.

I've had mine three months. Daily. Not a snag on them.

Most comfortable work trousers I've ever put on, and they've held up better than the canvas pair they replaced.
